Claremont McKenna (CA) going no loan

Claremont McKenna College announced it will eliminate all student loans (including Perking and Stafford) from financial aid packages for all current and entering students effective fall 2008.

Lehigh eliminating loans

Beginning in school year 2008-2009, students from families whose  annual income is less than $50,000 will no longer have any loans.  Family’s whose annual income is between $50,000 and $75,000 will be limited to a maximum of $3,000 per year.

St. Paul’s (NH) ups free education

St. Paul’s School, one of New England’s elite private boarding schools, will no longer require families to pay if their income is $80,000 or less a year.
In 2006, the school adopted a no-pay policy for families earning less than $65,000 which included tuition, room and board and mandatory fees.

Columbia becomes a jem in the sea of financial aid

Ithaca College aspirants take note

Ithaca College approved a $1,936 increase in tuition last Thursday, bringing the cost of tuition to $30,606 for the 2008-09 academic year. This is the largest dollar increase of tuition in the college’s history - 5.99%!
